I got this app to try with my first child who was just recently born a couple months ago. When I first tried the app I had an iPhone 3G and the translator didnt work that well but I just attributed to the phone. It took me about 6 or 7 times before it would give me results. Of course for good measure I would see if the results were accurate by trying it again to see if I would get the same results but needless to say I would give up because it would take another 6 or 7 times to output anything. Sometimes it was the same result as the first or it would change. Thats about 2 minutes to get the supposed "translation". Youre better off going on your intuition because it will probably be more accurate and faster. The app says it takes less then 10 seconds to get a translation but what they dont say it that it does not always give a translation after that 10 seconds. I have tried holding it away and close to the baby but the results are usually the same. I actually get more frustrated with trying to use the app then with the baby crying. Even if this app was free I wouldnt use it. Not sure how this app got medals, prizes or good reviews but stay away because its not worth the frustration.
